Dunmore’s College Education
Lauren Dunmore has an impressive educational background that spans a variety of institutions and subject matters that all lend to her content marketing expertise.
In 2015, Dunmore earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, where she majored in history and followed a research-intensive curriculum with a specialization in human rights.
Her work here won a variety of academic awards and allowed her to work on various research projects where she consulted with top professionals in various fields.
During her time at the University of Chicago, she also studied Constitutional Law at Columbia University in New York City. where she refined her analytical skills.
In addition to studying in Chicago and New York, Dunmore also studied at the Universite Paris Diderot in Paris, France. This opened doors for her to take her knowledge overseas while immersing herself in another culture to learn more about how content marketing varies between countries.
Dunmore Gains Experience in the US
Prior to her current position at COMATCH, Lauren Dunmore honed her skills in a variety of positions at agencies in the United States, France, and Germany.
Her impressive resume started with her position as a Communications Intern at the Chateau de Bonnemare in Radepont, France. This is where she started learning the importance of digital marketing.
Here she improved the accessibility of the organization’s website by translating it from French to English. Improving the inclusivity of the website, directly improved the hotel’s profitability by making it more desirable to an international clientele.
Dunmore then took her growing skills to the Ivy Research Council in Washington, DC. She started working for Ivy Research Council in its infancy and was proud to assist them in all aspects as they grew into the robust firm they are today.
This market research consultancy firm is where she developed her skill of writing whitepapers and other engaging content on recruiting practices and employee happiness.
Following her time at Ivy Research Council, she moved on to Eagle Hill Consulting, a consulting firm in Washington, DC. While working at this unconventional, woman-owned, and award-winning firm, Lauren Dunmore gained a true appreciation of communications and marketing strategies.
While designing and developing visually appealing content for the adoption of IT systems at Eagle Hill, Dunmore learned how important it is to develop content that not only educates but also relates.
This is where her passion for creating content that resonates with diverse audiences began.
Dunmore Gains Experience Abroad
After her time in Washington D.C, Lauren Dunmore moved to Berlin, Germany, where she accepted a Content Marketing Manager position at Gnosis, an IT and tech company.
Here she was responsible for planning and creating engaging content for audiences across the UK and US.
At Gnosis, she developed content for all marketing channels, including newsletters, blog posts, social media content on all platforms, and the company website. She learned how to redirect and repurpose her content to fill various roles and satisfy various audiences.
While ensuring that their brand voice was consistent across all channels, Dunmore developed plans for activation, growth, and retention of the Gnosis community.
She also evaluated new communication channels for the brand. Her strategy helped Gnosis’s social media channels grow immensely.
Making History as COMATCH’s First Content Marketing Manager
After her work at Gnosis, Lauren Dunmore moved on to COMATCH, in Berlin, Germany to become the company’s first-ever Content Marketing Manager.
Prior to her work at COMATCH, the company used its expert network to write articles and then shared the content via PDF to their clients.
Noticing that this may not be the best strategy, she created a new process that involved revamping the entire website and developing a blog to house all content that was being created.
The company’s blog is now a well-oiled machine that includes some of the most authoritative content pieces on consulting topics that have also been featured in a variety of the top management consulting blogs in the digital space.
In addition to Dunmore’s overhaul of their content strategy, she also overhauled the way in which they were working with their consultant network.
With her expertise, COMATCH now has a streamlined content creation process and a new strategy that embraces tried and true digital marketing tactics like SEO.
With Dunmore leading their content marketing department, the company has increased online visibility, strengthened authority in their industry, and a more engaged social media audience. All of this has led to more accessibility for their clientele.
