During this discussion, Semchuck connected with marketing leaders of other emerging brands to discuss his work at Traeger Pellet Grills.

By staying “relevant to [his audience] and where they are in their journeys”, he has been able to turn Traeger Pellet Grills into one of the most sought-after brands in the grilling industry.

Semchuck’s Growth in the Digital Marketing Space

Before Semchuck was busy turning Traeger into a household name, he got his start in digital marketing by working with companies in a variety of industries.

These companies included automotive specialist Vehix.com, online marketplace Experticity (now ExpertVoice), a fitness community called Podfitness, and sports community Fanzz.

Through his work at these companies, he learned all of the ins and outs of how to manage communication between customers, vendors, and internal teams.

He focused on increasing conversion rates of his companies’ sites and increasing customer satisfaction and retention through creative marketing strategies.

By the time Semchuck became the Marketing Director of Vital Mend in 2010, he was well-versed in the digital marketing space. His knowledge and work ethic quickly helped to grow the business by 300% through his creative online marketing strategies.

Once assured that Vital Mend had a strong marketing foundation, Semchuck took his genius to digital publishing and a marketing platform built to connect content creators, commerce professionals, and customers.

Through Semchuck’s expert management skills and creative marketing strategies, the company increased its content production by over 150% in a 12 month period. His strategies were also directly responsible for millions of dollars in revenue growth.

In 2017, Semchuck decided to move to an up-and-coming mattress retailer, Purple. In the years that he spent at Purple, the company started to take over the industry, changing the way consumers think about their sleep purchases.

This explosion of growth can be traced back to Semchuck’s strong organic traffic growth initiatives and his development and management of their affiliate program.

When he left Purple in 2019, the brand was successfully changing consumer behavior as more and more people started looking into the brand that delivered mattresses in a box, directly to their door.

Semchuck’s Time at Traeger Pellet Grills

In the past few years, Traeger Pellet Grills have become the grill to have for all outside cooking enthusiasts.

This explosion in brand awareness can be credited to Semchuck working his magic once again.

In January 2019, Semchuck became the Director of Acquisition at Traeger Pellet Grills. Over the past few years, he has created programs to increase Traeger’s revenue both on and offline.

He manages all aspects of marketing for the brand, including paid search, paid social, programmatic display & video, traditional marketing routes (including podcasts, radio, and TV advertisements), and the YouTube advertising teams.

Through his strong leadership, he has been able to grow Traeger’s brand awareness and revenue across all streams — including partnerships and affiliate programs.
