Tell us a little about your background?
I started in this industry as a project manager close to 10 years ago at a major search company. I immediately fell in love with the digital marketing space and spent many years working as an SEO consultant and SEM (PPC) strategist in the industry. Eventually I became the Director of SEO at a large search agency and managed a department which grew to over 130 clients on my watch.
Today I teach an accredited course on Search Engine Optimization at UCSD. The class is open to the public and I am honored to be associated with the program. I also host a digital marketing radio show. But most importantly, I am excited to join the dynamic Ignite Visibility family. We have a great team here and I am ecstatic to be a part of it.
What do you like most about online marketing?
At my first interview in the SEO world, I told who then became my boss that it combines everything I feel I’m suited for. It deals with cutting edge technology, data analysis and creative expressions as well as dealing with people and seeing first hand insight into many types of businesses. It’s combining the best of multiple worlds and you can see results in some cases across the planet!
Anything clients should know about you?
I am extremely personable and constant communication is the key to understanding. Even above the “call of duty”, I generally share everything I know; if there’s something you want to know about that we haven’t covered, just ask.
What do you like to do for fun?
I produce music in my spare time and am working on a few podcasting projects including Owning Your Own which engages in discussions for marketers, creatives and entrepreneurs.
Favorite food(s)?
I would rarely ever pass up an opportunity to get sushi.
