In this edition of Marketer of the Week, Ignite Visibility spotlights Kelly Jacobson, Digital Content Specialist at Schedulicity.
Ignite Visibility applauds her for a history of outstanding accomplishments in digital marketing.
Kelly Jacobson
Jacobson has been with Schedulicity for a short time. She started just this month.
Before that, she spent about 11 months as a digital marketing specialist and content creator for Mirabel Technologies.
Her responsibilities there included managing the digital content marketing strategy across three software products.
Jacobson revamped the company website, added a new content calendar, developed back-linking strategies, audited the existing content, and helped launch an email verification tool.
Additionally, Jacobson handled reputation management for the company. She took the software rating from an aggregate 3.9 to 4.7 in just six months.
How’d she do it? With client feedback email requests.
For that campaign, the average open rate was 40% and the average click-through rate was 8.5%.
Those are pretty impressive numbers for email marketing.
Additionally, Jacobson led the launch of a brand-new marketing automation software and email verification tool.
This launch included content, Google Ads audits, two website redesigns for SEO and UX, and finally a digital PR campaign.
She also managed a team of freelancers to help her promote this software. They’d submit content, ad copy, design, and formatting. Jacobson would handle the editing.
The company used that content for marketing, gated offers, designs, sales, and marketing collateral.
Jacobson’s efforts with content marketing increased blog subscriptions by 200% monthly.
Her strategic content marketing efforts have put the software on track to bring in over 60,000 website visitors in the first year.
She also handled competitor analysis for marketing automation and CRM software from pricing, feature, and review perspectives.
During her stint with Mirabel, Jacobson got a shout-out in multiple articles for Databox, BisVue, SEM Updates, and iFour TechnoLab.
Event Management
Prior to working with Mirabel, Jacobson spent about a year with Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard as an Event Manager.
While there, she created two venue spaces and drafted memos of understanding, detailing the specifics of each event.
Jacobson also handled pricing negotiations with vendors.
But she also did some digital marketing work related to those events.
Jacobson updated the company website and Facebook page to provide details of on- and off-site events.
She also recruited and scheduled vendors to handle catering, design, and entertainment for the events.
Jacobson used her media, political, and industry relationships to promote the events as well.
Further, she managed the events as they occurred. She had to set everything up beforehand and take everything down afterward.
Jacobson also handled staff management and vendor communication.
Her efforts with the company can be attributed to an average of 20% of monthly revenue.
Previous Agency Experience
Before Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard, Jacobson spent about three and a half years with a small marketing and PR company.
While there, she created content marketing articles for blogs, eBooks, and print.
Jacobson also helped develop interview best practices for her clients. She’d coach potential leaders on voice and tone so they’d perform their best during one-on-one exchanges.
Further, Jacobson handled PR efforts, both internal and external. She’d distribute press releases, award employees for outstanding achievement, and recruit influencers for speaking engagements.
And she managed 35 social media accounts across a variety of industries. Those efforts led to a 25% increase in Facebook and Twitter followers as well as a 115% increase in total traffic.

Jacobson also earned the following recognitions:

“Kelly is undoubtedly an outstanding communicator. Her real talent, however, lies in being a storyteller. She intentionally reminds us that each brand relates back to people and prioritizes human connection and understanding in every campaign.” – Marketer of the Week Submission.
Wrapping It Up
As I noted above, Kelly Jacobson is just getting started with Schedulicity. But given her track record thus far, I have no doubt she’s going to take that company to new heights.
I look forward to watching the results.
