Cole Bubenik, Content Marketer at RoundUp App – Ignite Marketer of the Week

February 28, 2022 By John E Lincoln

Cole Bubenik Marketer of the Week

In this edition of Marketer of the Week, Ignite Visibility spotlights Cole Bubenik, content marketer at RoundUp App.

Ignite applauds Bubenik for his creativity and inspired work. He holds a commitment to high-quality, innovative content marketing strategy and production.

Cole Bubenik

Coke Bubenik is a content marketer and freelance illustrator. He’s a creative professional living in Austin, Texas.

Bubenik has a bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin. He’s Hubspot email marketing certified. Plus, he holds three TSPRA Gold Star Awards. These awards are a result of campaigns he created for Education Service Center Region 13.

As if that weren’t enough, Bubenik is a finalist for the James F. Parker Prize for Fiction. He’s also a publicity manager and fiction board member for Analecta Literary Arts Journal.

Bubenik likes working with nonprofits, government organizations, and education organizations. He enjoys partnering with startups, indie publishers, and so much more.

And when he’s not working? Well, he watches, blogs, and tweets about comics, TV, and cute dogs he sees on the street.

Cole Bubenik and Content Marketing Go Together Like Bread and Butter

Bubenik believes in creating work that helps minority and underrepresented communities. He wants to inspire individuals to be their best creative and passionate selves.

Bubenik’s path feels natural. In the past, he has worked as a managing editor of Feminine Inquiry, overseeing nine writers. The publication highlights the cultural, political, literary, and artistic climate and practices of local and national female artists.

He has flexed his entrepreneurial muscles, too. Bubenik has worked as a freelance designer and illustrator for more than five years. He produces high-quality custom illustrations for startups and individuals.

Bubenik worked as a digital and content marketing specialist at Education Service Center Region 13. He aligned the product store, professional development events, and contracted services to the center’s mission of producing top-notch resources and services for central Texas educators.

Bubenik also led the Mailchimp and contact reorganization. He also generated weekly development of customer-first content like blogs and podcasts.

Victoria Simms said about Bubenik, “Cole is a kind, articulate and detail-oriented individual who is very knowledgeable in his field as an education copywriter and marketing expert. In the year that I have worked with him, he has been a fantastic team player and a person to lean on in regards to knowledge and expertise in marketing strategies and creating a unifying voice across ESC 13 through the creation of style guides and tone of voice guidelines that the company can utilize for years to come.”

Now that he has settled into his role at RoundUp App, Bubenik is making a real difference.

Cole Bubenik at RoundUp App

Bubenik joined the RoundUp App team in November 2021. In the few short months, he’s been with the team, he’s had a gigantic impact. Here are a few of the improvements he’s made:

  • Documented all the existing marketing practices
  • Created a comprehensive content strategy for 2021
  • Created a comprehensive onboarding sequence for each of our three target audiences
  • Moved the marketing team to two-week sprints
  • Audited RoundUp App’s marketing materials
  • Benchmarked competitors
  • Dove deeply into keyword research to guide content plans

Bubenik has shown excellence with outstanding early results. This includes a 25% increase in RoundUp App’s email open rates. All this foundational work will result in huge gains for the company this year.

RoundUp App

The RoundUp App lets users round up their purchases and donate the change. The RoundUp App syncs up with credit or debit card purchases to support a nonprofit of your choice.

Another audience is nonprofits themselves. The RoundUp App is a turnkey fundraising tool. It allows organizations to build a predictable monthly support base. This means they can spend less time fundraising and more time making a difference.

Woah. RoundUp App has over 950,000 nonprofits to choose from!

Many publications have featured RoundUp App. This includes Wall Street Journal, Austin-American Statesman, Bustle, and Business Radio. And it’s also featured on the list of the Best Charitable Giving Apps and Nonprofit Tech for Good.

One user wrote about RoundUp App, “What a brilliant idea to help nonprofits! A passive fundraising tool that I am involved with every day! By donating the change from your credit card transactions, you continue to be an active supporter of your favorite charity! A smart and effective tool!”

Wrapping It Up with Cole Bubenik of RoundUp App

Cole Bubenik has managed to tie his love of content marketing with his dream of making a difference. RoundUp App looks forward to seeing the impact Bubenik will make in the future. And Ignite loves to see the impact he’s already made.
