Google Update: Google Spam Algorithm PayDay Loan Version 3.0 Launched

In the SMX Advanced keynote last night Matt Cutts, Mr. Webspam at Google, announced that PayDay Loan 3.0 has been launched. This new algorithm will have an impact on the most competitive and spammy SEO niches.

This launch of PayDay loan 3.0 comes right after version 2.0, which was just launched a few week ago!  Apparently, 2.0 was looking at websites that were spammy and 3.0 was looking at the actual search taking place. Furthermore, Cutts went on to explain that 2.0 actually limited the amount of negative SEO that was possible. We sure hope this is true, because negative SEO has been a major issue lately.

Pay Day Loans Update 3.0

According to Search Engine Roundtable this will only look at the most competitive and spammy searches, “Reminder, this will look specifically spammy queries, such as terms like [payday loans], [casinos], [viagra] and other forms of highly spammy queries.”

As of right now we are not seeing much commotion on the topic around the net. So it appears the update is still rolling out. When it goes live we should see much more chatter in the black hat forums.
