Google Business Profile reviews act as a powerful cross-channel trust signal that impacts not only organic local visibility but also traditional Google Ads campaign performance. An internal study of over 200 clients revealed a strong correlation between review volume and search campaign success, leading to higher conversion rates and lower cost per acquisition (CPA). Interestingly, review volume has a much greater impact on performance than the review score itself. While branded campaigns benefit from increased post-click conversion efficiency, non-branded campaigns see significantly reduced CPA for cold traffic. Furthermore, review content is increasingly utilized by Google to recommend and explain businesses in AI-driven search experiences.
