Ignite Goes DiSC! Cool Test for SEO Companies and Marketing Departments

At Ignite Visibility, like most Internet marketing companies, we are a pretty close-knit team. However, we wanted to learn even more about each other so that we could work better together. We often have multiple deadlines in a day, so it is critical that we all know the best ways to communicate.

The Process

Over the last couple weeks, we each took a DiSC personality test. The test asked us a series of questions regarding how we would respond to certain situations. At the end of the test, it told us a little more about ourselves. If you are unfamiliar with this system, you can learn more about it through this guide.

What Does the Test Look At?

The DiSC test looks at four major personality traits: dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientiousness. Based on the responses you give, it then tells you where you fall in the spectrum.

The Results

The results of the test were very insightful. Not only did the test tell us about ourselves, but it also filled us in on potential challenges and opportunities when working together. For example, I learned that for certain people group work was no issue, while others were not as comfortable with it. I also learned that some employees are naturally more skeptical than others.

DiSC and Marketing

I really liked the DiSC profile test. I think Internet marketing companies and marketing departments all over the world would benefit from this. Not only does it teach you about yourself, but is also gives insight into the people around you. Ultimately, it results in better communication, teamwork and expectations. Who doesn’t want that? We used Intesi! Resources for our test. Just wanted to mention them because we really enjoyed working with their team.
