The Challenge
This client had recently transitioned to a brand-new e-commerce website and they were having quite a bit of difficulty with the website post-transition. Page URLs had not be properly forwarded and set up on the new platform which led to some issues with duplicate content, among a litany of other interesting challenges. There was little on-site optimization, and a low ratio of content for all the site pages.
Ignite Visibility was hired to address the issues in the website SEO structure, increase organic rankings, increase site visitors, and increase brand visibility.
The Solution
Ignite Visibility optimized the website and added 25 pages of content to primary category pages that were aimed towards broadening search terms for the site, and started incorporating search terms that possessed higher search volume. We implemented unique page titles for each product, and started the client on a plan to add content to every product page. Additionally, we addressed e-commerce tracking issues so that Google Analytics would report accurate e-commerce conversions.
Additionally, we set up a viral social campaign through their popular YouTube channel in order to expand the brand on a national level – that has resulted in an total of 16,000 video views.
The Result
After six months of working with Ignite Visibility, the site performance has soared.
In comparing May 2013 – November 2013 to November 2013 – May 2014 we can see the following metrics come into play:
- Visits from Organic Traffic: increased by nearly 65%
- Unique Site Users: increased by over 73%
- Social Network referrals have seen significant impact as well.
Notably, traffic from Facebook has also increased by over 500%.
