Case Study: BuyAutoParts.com Viral Campaign Earns 20% Increase in Fans

BuyAutoParts.com is an auto parts ecommerce retailer based in San Diego, California. They specialize in automotive repair parts, automotive accessories, and performance parts. 

The Challenge

The Client, BuyAutoParts.com, wanted to bring more exposure and expand their brand through Facebook by engaging their audience in an interactive way. Additionally, they wanted to grow their email database.

The Solution

Ignite Visibility created a trivia style viral campaign that promoted audience engagement and participation. Using a third party application, Ignite created a 10 week long quiz challenge that allowed individuals to answer 1 question a week. Each correct answer was an entry to the grand prize, allowing participants to have up to 10 entries in the grand prize drawing. One winner was chosen at the end of each week as well as one grand prize winner at the end. Winners were offered a monetary award from BuyAutoParts.com.

The Results

BuyAutoParts.com previously had 14,995 Likes on Facebook. Over the 10 week course of the quiz those Likes increased 20.7% to 18,105 as a result of the viral campaign and ads.
