WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born in California but grew up in Boise, Idaho.
WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
I attended the University of San Diego and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT ONLINE MARKETING?
The entrepreneurial spirit of it. Anybody with a great idea and a game plan can market themselves or their business online and see results. You can also do it from anywhere in the world, which is appealing to people who like to travel like me.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY.
I have worked for several online marketing agencies in San Diego in primarily SEO-focused roles. I have always tried to gain as much knowledge as I can in other areas of online marketing such as web design, web development, paid search and CRO but the bulk of my experience has been in search engine optimization. I have worked with a wide variety of different sized businesses, business models and industries, from e-commerce to lead generation and more community-focused sites.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IGNITE?
The commitment to quality work and hiring great people. I also like that John, our CEO, is a seasoned online marketer and not just a business person. I think that fact really changes the culture and ideology of the business. The focus is foremost on being great marketers and delivering exceptional service instead of maximizing profits.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?
Pizza and steak tie for the top spot.
WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I got second in the school spelling bee in 5th grade. I misspelled “parallel.”
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
I like working out, playing poker, getting outside and going somewhere new.
