WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Loomis, a small town in Sacramento, California.
WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
I went to school at California State University Sacramento. I majored in Marketing and International Business.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT ONLINE MARKETING?
How it is constantly shifting and self-regulating. There is a tremendous amount of opportunity with the connectivity to billions of people. It’s only 20 years old and barely entering the maturity phase. I have a deep connection to marketing because it requires you to be both creative and analytic to be successful. It’s a natural industry for me to be in.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND IN THE INDUSTRY?
Internet marketing for me started in 2010. My experience ranges in many different sides of the marketing and advertising world as a brand marketing specialist, WordPress consultant, project manager, and digital marketing consultant both as a freelancer and within large agencies throughout California.
If you wanted to say when I started marketing, you’d have to go back to when I was 6 or 7. I would poll people in my neighborhood about what they wanted done to their house and then creating flyers based on the three services they wanted. Targeting a market, identifying their needs, and making a product. Simple.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IGNITE?
The level of performance we operate at. There is a set of values I believe everyone has in this office that you cannot teach people. We all come here ready to learn and perform at a high level. I moved from another city specifically to work for this company because I believe in what we do here on a daily basis. I’ve worked with companies in the bay area of Northern California and agencies within the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. What we do here offers much more beyond the standard agency model.
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS CLIENTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU?
That my mindset of how I conduct myself in business seeps into every other aspects of my life. With a constant focus about the bigger picture on how I can improve what I offer the people around me. At my core I’m a competitor. There is always another level and something unknown to reach for. More importantly— I am a die-hard 49ers fan.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?
Cooking It Myself: Slow-cooked brisket and dry rub jerk chicken with crispy garlic bread, grilled asparagus and Mac N’ Cheese. Only San Francisco 49ers fans are allowed portions. Seahawks fans get nothing.
Fine Dining: Acqua Al 2 in the Gaslamp District right here in San Diego. If you haven’t been, you haven’t started living life yet.
WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
That I like to read anything I can get my hands on. I’m constantly studying a subject. More often than not there is always some correlation that leads me from one subject to another.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?
In my spare time I compose and produce music, read, write, go to the beach, spend time with my amazing girlfriend Lauren, and workout to keep my mind sharp.
